Safari Itinerary

DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 01: ARRIVAL NAIROBI
Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will be welcomed by a Sunworld representative, who will transfer you to the Fairview Hotel / Nairobi Safari Club. After a short briefing, check in to your hotel where you can relax after your long flight.
Overnight at Fairview Hotel / Nairobi Safari Club (BB).

DAY 02: NAIROBI
Spend an exhilarating day in Nairobi where you will be taken to a variety of places of your choice. Visit the Daphne Sheldrik’s Orphanage where orphaned elephants are cared for, the Giraffe center where you may feed the giraffes and a drive through the Nairobi National Park, to give you a taste of the events that lie ahead. A trip to the Karen Blixen Museum and National Museum can also be arranged. Dinner and lunch will be taken at a restaurant of your choice.

DAY 03: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we shall depart for Amboseli National Park with arrival for lunch at your safari lodge, possibly encountering Kenya’s largest herds of elephants with the majestic snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Experience an enticing first game drive in Kenya in search for the "Big Five". End the day residing in the luxury of your Lodge.

DAY 04: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy another enticing day in Amboseli National Park, where your driver/guide will guide you through a day’s game drive. If luck strikes you will encounter nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, several cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and maybe even the leopard. Spend another night in your comfortable lodge.

DAY 05: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – NAIROBI – LAKE NAIVASHA
After an early breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha via the city of Nairobi, where you will enjoy an authentic Indian lunch at Angithi’s Restaurant. Drive through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, with a short stop over at the viewpoint to take in the incredible panorama. Arrive at your lodge mid afternoon. Experience the chance to go on a guided walk on nearby Crescent Island, which is home to a variety of game, but don’t worry there are no big cats here! The guide will also try and find you the pythons that inhabit the island.
Overnight spent at Lake Naivhasa Sopa Lodge / Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge (HB).

DAY 06: LAKE NAIVASHA – MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Depart after an early breakfast, setting off for the highlight of your trip, the world famous Maasai Mara! Resting through with a late lunch, you will experience your first game drive in the Mara. With luck you will see some of the "Big Five" and most certainly you will be impressed by the wide variety of species present in this area. The Maasai Mara has the highest concentration of land mammals compared to all other parks!
Overnight will be spent at Mara Bush Camp (FB).

DAY 07, 08 & 09: MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Spend a further three exhilarating days of the unlimited game drives exploring the Mara, home to the proud Maasai tribe. Experience a sundowner on one of the evenings, at a spot with the view of the endless plains. Enjoy the last two, incredibly tasty meals prepared at your camp, residing to the comfort of the Mara Bush Camp (FB).

DAY 10: MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Wake up at dawn to enjoy your last morning game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. After breakfast depart the Mara heading for Nairobi, enjoying a picnic lunch on the journey. Arrive in Nairobi late afternoon. We will then transfer you to your international flight out of Kenya or domestic flight within Kenya should you have booked a beach holiday, ending what we hope was a memorable safari to Kenya!
