OBAMA HERITAGE SAFARI

10 nights / 11 days

President Obama in Kenya The Obama Heritage Safari is perfect for the visitor who is inspired and intrigued by the heritage of President Barack Obama and his ancestor’s culture, the varied and breathtaking landscape in East Africa and unrivalled game viewing and nature of the Masai Mara.

The safari takes you to the less visited and unspoiled locations in the country through an equatorial forest, through the rolling swathe of tea bushes, to the finest game reserve in the country.

The cultural and wildlife diversity is just the tip of the iceberg of how the country’s heritage is incomparable to no other in Africa.

Highlights of the safari:

  • Lake Nakuru National Park with its thousands of Flamingoes, White & Black Rhino and Reticulated Giraffe. Also a very scenic park with beautiful diverse landscape

  • Kakamega Forest, the only remaining rain forest in Kenya with a wild abundance of tropical plants/giant trees & butterflies as well as smaller game and amazing bird life

  • Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest inland lake with its numerous hippo/Nile perch and white sandy beaches

  • Kogelo Village, the remote village - home of Barak Obama’s grandmother, Sarah and where his father was born and buried. The tiny village was unknown to many Kenyans leave alone the outside world. Kogelo’s status changed overnight after Obama made history by becoming the first African-American to win the US presidency and his late father’s village has since then been basking in the international glory

  • Kericho with its lush green swathe of tea bushes
