A new campsite in Mtwapa

There is a fantastic new Campsite in Mtwapa, app. 20 min away from Mombasa town. The name is “Drifters Beach Bar – Restaurant – Campsite”! Or just simply known as Beach Bar!

It is approximately 5 min away from Mtwapa (a very hip and young town) directly at the Beach, surrounded by Mangroves in front of a fisherman’s villages. You will find this very cozy, unique and relaxing place!

By the way, it is also a fantastic Seafood restaurant and very cheap!

$8 for a house, $5 for a tent or just $4 for the place, if you bring your own tent! (KTI note: prices as of October 2006)

The atmosphere is unique and the owners of this place are very creative, kept everything very local but stylish and clean!

Really worth to mention and to discover this place, if not to stay at least and just to see for your-self!

Their contact is Juakenya@yahoo.de , Tel 00254 (0) 720 852327

I had a fantastic time and was nicely surprised!!!
