Bushbuck Mara Camp

The Bushbuck Mara Camp is situated only a few kilometers from the Aitong Hills on the Lemek Group and is tucked away in a large copse of indigenous trees (olive, croton and euclea), some distance from the main road and with excellent access to areas rich in wildlife and flora.

These walking safaris can be arranged during your stay at the camp. The Maasai also take care of the security in the camp, adding local color and interest, as well as ensuring safety.

Each tent contains beds, bedding, towels, washstands, chairs, tables, water jug (with fresh drinking water) and glasses, baggage stands, coat hangers and torches. There are six spacious double tents (with verandahs) and all fly screened to prevent intrusion of insects. A well-sited, fully equipped, mess/dining tent (with fly screened sides) is available for all meals with a fully equipped camp kitchen, that provides delicious food cooked by an experienced safari chef.

There are separate shower and flush toilet facilities for each accommodation tent and the staff ensures hot water is available when it is required. The water for washing is collected from a local spring.

The lighting at night is by pressure and gas light as much as possible, but each tent is also provided with a hurricane lamp.

Game drives in 4X4’s are easily arranged. You will be accompanied by conservationists and professional safari guides, each having many years experience of the African bush and a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of life in Kenya. They all have an inherent love and enthusiasm for the country - from the spectacular wildlife and the local people, to the unique birds and the rarest butterfly. These guides care about their environment and will ensure your safari is an unforgettable experience.

Flights or drives to and from the camp can also be arranged.
